As the Interim Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost of 吃瓜福利社 of Medicine and Science (吃瓜福利社), I am delighted to welcome you to the Academic Affairs section of the University website, where you will find the University’s vision, mission, and values, and a lot of detailed, important information.
The role of Academic Affairs is to realize the University’s mission through rich and enduring education and co-curricular experiences for all our students. To do this, we are organized into two colleges and one school: the College of Medicine, College of Science and Health, and Mervyn M. Dymally College of Nursing.
These academic units are the custodians, promoters, and implementers of the, the promise that distinguishes this university from others. The 吃瓜福利社 Advantage defines an educational experience that develops leadership, advocacy, and activism. A 吃瓜福利社 education prepares students to be the best health professionals there are, but also to be leaders dedicated to transforming the world of medicine, following in the footsteps of Dr. Charles R. Drew, the pioneer in the science of blood transfusion. A 吃瓜福利社 education prepares students to become advocates for underserved populations, a voice for the voiceless and the downtrodden.
